Enforced – „War Remains“ erscheint Ende April
Die aktuell vielleicht stärkste Truppe in Sachen brutalem Crossover-Thrash meldet sich mit einer neuen Platte zurück. Zwei Jahre nach dem bockstarken „Kill Grid“ veröffentlichen Enforced den heiß ersehnten Nachfolger „War Remains“. Das Album erscheint am 28. April über Century Media.
Die erste Single „Ultra-Violence“ verspricht einmal mehr knallharten, rasend schnellen Thrash Metal, irgendwo zwischen Slayer und Power Trip und brettert in knapp 2 Minuten alles um.

Sänger Knox Colby über das Album:
War Remains is a scathing perception of the modern crumbling world. Humanity seems imprisoned by its violent and chaotic nature; boiling over and doubling down on its own ignorance. The album contemplates and reflects upon the blight with cyclical themes rotating through the songs. It’s a hammer hitting a raw nerve. We didn’t overthink anything. It’s all very straight forward, no bells and whistles production-wise. It’s almost ten minutes shorter than our last record and packs ten times more of a punch.
Gitarrist Will Wagstaff ergänzt:
This record (War Remains) is furious. If you aren’t in the mood to circle pit, head bang, disrupt the neighbors, etc. don’t put this thing on. From the second the needle touches the record, you are in for about 32 minutes of a non-stop, no frills, indiscriminate ass kicking. Toss out the samples, ambiance, and nonsense. All we need are JCM800s and some V30s to deliver inexorable riffage.
Bewährter Sound, bewährtes Team
Das Artwork stammt einmal mehr von Motörhead-Stammkünstler Joe Petagno und entspricht dem prägnanten Stil des Vorgängeralbums. Auch bei der Produktion vertraut man erneut auf die Dienste von Ricky Olson und Alleskönner Arthur Rizk, der erneut das Mixing übernommen hat.
„War Remains“ ist neben der Standard-Jewel-Case-CD und der schwarzen Vinyl auf limitiertem blauen Vinyl (u.a. im Century Media Webstore), weißen Vinyl (Nuclear Blast und EMP) und roten Vinyl (Bandcamp) erhältlich.
